Excipients:
benzalkonium chloride 0.04 mg,
potassium dihydrogen phosphate 0.853 mg,
sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate 0.027 mg,
purified water 94.03 mg.
pharmachologic effect
Xylometazoline is a local vasoconstrictor (decongestant) with alpha-adrenomimetic activity, causes constriction of the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, restores the patency of the nasal passages, eliminates nasal congestion, facilitates nasal breathing.
The action of xylometazoline usually occurs within a few minutes after its application and lasts up to 10 hours.
Dexpanthenol is a vitamin of group B, a derivative of pantothenic acid.
Dexpanthenol is converted in the body into pantothenic acid, which is an integral part of coenzyme A (CoA), and is involved in the processes of acetylation, carbohydrate and fat metabolism, in the synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrins, stimulates the restoration of the skin and mucous membranes, normalizes cellular metabolism, accelerates mitosis and increases the strength of collagen fibers. It has a regenerating, metabolic and weak anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
acute respiratory diseases with rhinitis;
acute allergic rhinitis;
vasomotor rhinitis;
sinusitis;
otitis media (as part of combination therapy to reduce swelling of the nasopharyngeal mucosa);
to facilitate rhinoscopy, restore impaired nasal breathing after surgical interventions in the nasal cavity.
How to take, course of administration and dosage
Intranasally. One dosed spray in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day.
Spray for nasal use dosed - for adults and children over 6 years old.
Spray for nasal use dosed for children - for children from 2 to 6 years.
Remove the protective cap before use. Before the first use of the spray or after a long break, press the pump dispenser several times until a uniform spray appears.
Insert the tip of the bottle vertically into the nasal passage, take a slow breath through the nose, while simultaneously pressing 1 time on the pump dispenser. Repeat the procedure in the other nasal passage. After use, the tip should be wiped with a paper towel and closed with a protective cap. The duration of therapy is 3-5 days.
